Gaby Moreno lands song as main theme track for new NBC TV show

Congratulations to Gaby Moreno. NBC just announced that an instrumental track she wrote two weeks ago will be featured as the main theme music to their new show entitled Parks & Recreation, debuting April 9th on NBC at 8:30 PM.

Something of note about Gaby that MusicLoad has noticed is that Gaby likes to play at every opportunity, and as a result, has performed in places that other artists might feel too bitchen to play. It's not doubt to us that her incremental successes that she has been achieving are due to her incredible work ethic and her wonderfully kind and genuinely humble attitude. She is a true gem of a human being.

As many artists ask MusicLoad for advice on how to get ahead and where the opportunities are, we look to artists like Gaby Moreno for inspiration. She's not trying too hard and there has never been anything desperate about her. She exudes a willingness to listen, rather than to talk. JaC Stone - A Favorite MusicLoad Unknown

Right now, MusicLoad is jazzed about a singer/songwriter from Australia who has this super tasty voice. Not the kind of voice with big pipes or anything like that. But a no stress story telling kind of voice, that is filled with subtle nuance. Enough in fact, that it provokes her stories to become visual in the listeners own head

As a 19 year old music student at a university in Australia, JaC Stone was required to record tracks as assignments, and these recordings show that her school is training students to make some very well made recordings. Not that there is any real major production. Her tracks are basically minimalist acoustic guitar, vocals with some recorded background vocals and some subtle shakers/rattles. The clarity and subtle nuances are right up in your face, yet seem so far away, as there is great depth to the minimalism. In our opinion, JaC Stone is a emerging new artist who many Joni Mitchell fans might like. That goes for fans of Jewel, Natalie Merchant, Lisa Loeb and Edie Brickell as well.

The Contemporary Jazz/Funk/Rock Grooves of Brian Auger & Family

As a family affair of talent with his very beautiful daughter Savannah as vocalist, and his son Karma cookin' on the drums, Brian Auger and the Oblivion Express is always at work. For those who don't know of Brian Auger, he is a Hammond B3 Organ legend who has played with too many major artists to even mention going back to the early days of Jimi Hendrix, Creme and his own self made career that has lasted decades. These days, the family travels around the world each year. In September they will performing at the Monterey Jazz Festival (website at MontereyJazzFestival.Org ) in Monterey, California and will perform many dates in Germany throughout the month of October. Superfiz - French Metal Rockers and their track "Democratique Dictature"

Superfiz, the French Metal Rockers who recently made a friend request via MusicLoad's MySpace page, have a very intriguing metal sound that grabbed our attention, however, we do not speak French.

So, we referred to Babblefish, the Yahoo based language translation service to interpret the lyrics of a song entitled "Democratique Dictature". The title immediately made us think of the imperialistic nature of the U.S. Foreign and Domestic Policy. But not being sure, we did the translation. Being a free translation service, it's not perfect, but the lyrics are as follows:

Glyn Parry - Super Soul Artist from the U.K. - Free Download of his track entitled Runaway is at MusicLoad.Com

It's like bliss to hear a new song and suddenly drift off, forgetting the days reality, if even for just a few bars. Glyn Parry did just that and more when we first heard him croon on one of his myspace pages at myspace.com/GlynParry, which is why we call him multifarious. He has different MySpace pages for different projects that fit the broadness of his musical background. On his MySpace page that features more soul oriented music is our favorite song entitled Runaway. It's a beautiful song that might make you heart wrenchingly flash back to homeless souls or runaways you may see in your travels or in your own neighborhood. With lines such as "surrounded by, a tearful sky, no hope of love from passers by", Glyn Parry lays it down in the vein of early Boy George Culture Club B sides, with hints of Kenny Loggins meets Michael Mc Donald. He has this beautiful vibrato reminiscent of Aaron Neville. However, Glyn Parry delivers up his own identifiable vocal sound and is in no way copying or emulating. On his my space page is a quote that sums really seems to sum him up: "It doesn't have to be perfect. Just needs a soul!". MusicLoad.Com would like to say Glyn Parry has that "it" thing in the soul department. MusicLoad recommends major artists tap into Glyn for a hit song and more. We are not joking when we say this minimalist sounding rage has "it". Their track entitled "Wild International" is literally off the hook!
